Ave ! Today we feature a recipe for the devils black pizza, recipe by Yours truly 😉 As a cooking inspiration for all You metalheads out there !

The black dough recipe, which is included below, was just a curiousity for me since some time now. I always loved to do stuff others do not care for and/or are to lazy to do. Yay ! Good for me 😉

If You read my previous posts You know that this is simply a pure matter of creativity and Your imagination. Avanti ! To do recipe itself !

Fiven the amount of smoked things like : Jack Daniel’s sauce, smoked pepper it really taster like a barbecue 😉

The general idea was for a black pizza. It is more like BBQ pizza with devils black dough tough... Dough is made partialy from wholegrain flour - 2000 ! Very hard to actually make it as soft as posible. You can have some problems with the dough to grow by the yeast. Main idea is to get all black ingredients You can have , and the black smoked sauce on the bottom / top. So we can say it is a Devils black pizza with a barbeque flavour !

Black dough
  • 3 capsules active carbon 600 mg of active coal
  • 400 grams flour type
  • 100 grams wholegrain flour type 2000
  • 1 tbsp oregano, salt
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp dried jalapeno(grated), rosemary, curcuma, black pepper AND smoked sweet paprika Yes, You read orrectly, all in one !!
  • 2 tbsp oil
What is going on top, the
  • Black bbq sauce I used Jack Daniels Smoked BBQ, it is almost pure black. Get something black, and bbq 😉
  • 1 big red onion
  • 2 pickles slices
  • 0.5 red pepper
  • 250 grams smoked cheese or any other, we would want a more intense flavour
  • 200 grams bacon slices You can always use salami to make the pentagram 😉
  • 2 cups black olives You can slice them in half if You want
  • 1 tomato slices
  • Ketchup Bloody color will do ::)

  2. Warmp up the milk. Put crushed live yeast in the milk. Add a bit sugar and milk - food for the yeast to eat and start bubbling and producing gas so the dough can grow.

  3. Molded ball of dough. Smells great. You can see all the ingredients.

  4. Flattened pizza dough 😉 make it as big as You need. Bigger will make it thinner and will leave You some leftover dough. Not a perfect circle but it needs to fit the full metal sheet.

  5. When You put the bbq sauce and smoked paprika it is also a barbeque pizza or smoked pizza. Flavours are mind blowing.

  6. The bottom layer. Put the bbq sauce on the pizza, then add onions, pickles and a little cheese. We put the cheese between the layers of toppings so we can see the ingredients when the pizza is made. It looks a bit different then everything covered with cheese.

  7. Add pepper. Put the bacon and form anything You want, here a pentagram.

  8. Add black olives and tomatoe slices. After, put cheese to make it glue everything. Add oregano or other spices. Here is the oven view of the almost barbeque pizza.

  9. The made pizza, out of the oven with added tomatoe sauce !! This one has a little bit to much. Altough the dough was nice and crispy on the edges.
